Bellefonte Area Middle School Drama Club's Production of "Grease" (School Version)

The stage at Bellefonte Area Middle School will soon be transformed into the halls of Rydell High as students prepare to present Grease: School Edition, a lively, family-friendly adaptation of the beloved classic made famous by Grease.

Audiences will follow the story of summer sweethearts Danny and Sandy as they reunite at Rydell High and navigate friendships, peer pressure, and teenage identity in the 1950s. Packed with high-energy dance numbers, colorful characters, and familiar songs, Grease: School Version has been specially adapted to ensure a family-friendly, G-rated experience that audiences of all ages can enjoy.

This year’s production is one of the largest in the school’s history, featuring an impressive 140 students working both onstage and behind the scenes. While the cast brings the music and story to life onstage, a large team of students is working behind the curtain organizing costumes, doing hair and makeup, managing props and set pieces, running lights and sound, and organizing front-of-house operations.
